  • Inage Welcome to Mann Elementary! We are located in the heart of Iowa City’s historic Northside. We serve students from pre-school through sixth grade. We are proud of our diverse student body. Our students come from all over the world! Walking through the halls, you might hear a variety of languages including English, Chinese, Spanish, French, and Dutch. We believe all our students have the potential to do amazing things in this world. We are committed to providing a learning environment that provides plenty of opportunities for students to learn, create, and shine!

  • Seeking Applications for Equity Committee

    The Iowa City Community School District is seeking applications for the Equity Committee to advise the District's Director of Equity on school community concerns related to equal educational opportunities among students from racial and ethnic minority groups, economically disadvantaged backgrounds, LGBTQ students, students who have disabilities and students who speak languages other than English.

    The Iowa City Community School District would like to thank the community for coming out to voice their opinion on the District’s General Obligation bond referendum. There was a strong turn-out for this school election and we are grateful to have a community that is so highly engaged in the work of the District.

  • District Flu Vaccine Clinics Scheduled

    The Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) will once again be offering flu vaccination clinics in all of our schools. Flu protection is recommended for everyone age 6 months and older.

  • Response to Title IX Re-evaluation

    On Thursday, September 7th, Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos announced that the Department of Education would be re-evaluating Title IX and the 2011 “Dear Colleague Letter” guidelines that protect students from sexual harassment in grades K-12 and on college campuses.

  • How does the Facilities Master Plan and the GO Bond affect my school?

    On September 12, 2017, voters in the Iowa City Community School District will consider an estimated $192 million bond package. The bond will fund the second half of the approved 10-year Facilities Master Plan [FMP], which impacts every school in the District and every area of the community.
