Hello Weber Families!
My name is Genevieve Harnack, and I am one of three 6th grade homeroom teachers at Weber Elementary School. I am so excited to be a part of the Weber team, and cannot wait to see what the year has in store for our 6th grade learners.
After receiving my bachelor's at The University of Iowa in communication studies and journalism, I worked in community marketing and event planning. I volunteered as a coach for Girls on the Run, and soon decided that teaching and coaching was my calling. I returned to The University of Iowa and obtained my elementary teaching certificate with an endorsement in science education, and most recently completed my Masters in Elementary Leadership and Administration.
I love this school community, and have refused to leave the area since my arrival in 2006. Throughout my education career, I professionally served as a paraeducator at Lincoln Elementary, art director at Lincoln Elementary BASP, paraeducator in the modified autism room at Borlaug Elementary, 5th and 6th grade teacher at Hills Elementary, and I have coached track and volleyball at NCJH and NWJH.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, son, and two sibling cats, Hansel and Gretel. I also love to stay active by crafting, running, biking, and snow and water skiing.
