  • Portrait of a Graduate Design Team

    The Iowa City Community School District has joined forces with Battelle for Kids as we prepare to design our Portrait of a Graduate. Our Portrait of a Graduate is a collective vision that articulates our community’s aspirations for all of our students and helps to shape the future direction of our schools. This approach involves the entire school community—educators in partnership with students, parents, businesses, and others—to make 21st century learning a reality for all students.

  • Teacher Job Fair

    Calling all aspiring teachers! The Iowa City Community School District will be hosting a Teacher Job Fair on Tuesday, March 31. We are looking to hire daily substitute teachers, long-term substitute teachers, and individuals in high need areas such as Special Education, ELL, and more. The District will also be considering applicants for the 2020–21 school year.

  • ICCSD Application Event

    The Iowa City Community School District is looking for excellent candidates for a variety of positions across our district. We will be holding an application event at North Central Junior High School from 5-7 pm on Thursday, March 26. At this event, individuals will have access to computers and internet services along with assistance with the online application process.

  • Information on Coronavirus from Johnson Co. Public Health

    The Iowa City Community School District has been working closely with Johnson Co. Public Health (JCPH) in regards to the Coronavirus outbreak in China. JCPH reports that, at this time, the risk to Iowans from this virus remains very low. They have provided the following information for your reference.

  • Annual Asbestos Notification

    The Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) requires school districts to notify parents and staff of the district's asbestos program, locations of AHERA Management Plans, and schools where asbestos work has been performed.
