iJag Information

  • The iJag program serves students in 9th-12th grade at City and West high schools.  Originally designed as a 12th grade school-to-work program, iJag now serves nearly 200 students in 9th through 12th grade, who are selected into the program based on the risk for disengagement from school, attendance issues, and lack of connectivity to academic and post-secondary goals.

The program seeks to retain students from their entry into iJag, through high school graduation, and their first year after graduating.  Mentoring, connecting students to resources, and skill-building are core concepts of the iJag model.

Iowa City schools are fortunate to have the generous corporate sponsorship of the following community partners:

100 Who Care - Hawkeye area chapter
    Hills Bank & Trust
Military - Army, Airforce and National Guard
    Money Think: U of I
    Frontier Co-op
    United Action for Youth
    Community Foundation of Johnson County
    Hodge Construction
    AT & T

These community partners are instrumental in the continued success of these iJag programs.
