Frequently Asked Hiring Questions

  • Cover letters, resumes, and references

You will be able to upload your resume and cover letter when you complete your online application here.  The most recently uploaded document will be the only one available online for all hiring administrators to view so it is best to attach a more generic cover letter. There will be directions prompting you how and when to attach your documents. The entire online application must be filled out even if you are attaching a resume with work history.

  • Duration of Postings

If a position is no longer posted on the District's site, it could either be filled or the interview team may still be reviewing applications and conducting interviews. We do not accept applications after the posted deadline.  If you have missed a deadline and wish to be considered for future opportunities, you will need to review the site and resubmit your application to newly posted vacancies.

  • Electronic Applications

Paper applications and resumes are no longer collected at the District Office.  In order to complete an application, please submit the online application through our online application system.   If after submitting your initial application you see another position you are qualified for, you must log in to your application and submit to each job vacancy separately in order to be considered. If your qualifications meet the needs, the hiring administrator will contact you for further information and a possible interview.

  • Hiring status updates

    Posted by:

Once an application is submitted electronically, it will be reviewed by the hiring administrator or designee for each specific vacancy.  Should he/she determine that your qualifications meet the needs of the vacancy, he/she will communicate by phone and/or email to set up an interview. Due to the high volume of applications the District receives, it is not possible to respond directly to all applicants, only to those whose candidacy is being pursued. In addition, the length of the recruitment process varies based on the district’s needs. Traditionally, the process takes approximately 2-8 weeks. Therefore, your patience is greatly appreciated.  All applicants to a vacancy will receive electronic communication when the vacancy is formally filled.

Please be aware that applications missing items that may include: blank sections, months and years of employment not included, missing reference contact information, gaps in employment not explained, address/phone number may be considered incomplete.  You will not be contacted regarding incomplete sections of an application, so please read the directions on the application carefully.

  • Interviewing Information

    Posted by:

Interviews for all vacancies are scheduled by the hiring administrator and often the timelines are coordinated with the appointed search/hiring committee, therefore, HR does not always have the timelines or most recent status of each vacancy.  Hiring administrators will contact applicants through email or by phone to set up interview details.
