In May of 2016, the School Board approved the elementary attendance areas that will go into effect for the 2019-2020 school year. This change does affect some Lincoln families. The Facilities Master Plan now calls for the newest elementary in North Liberty to be built across from South Slope instead of south of Liberty High School. This will call for a change in the attendance zones because the current boundaries are drawn for the elementary building across from Liberty High School. The School Board has worked with District Administration and the process for this attendance area development has begun in January of 2018. Information on the attendance area development, including meeting dates, can be found on the District’s website (www.iowacityschools.org). The current attendance area maps, along with the Home School Look-Up links, can be found on the District’s website as well (www.iowacityschools.org/HomeSchoolLookUp).
