Duties of Student Council Leaders
President
- Represent the student body at school and special events.
- Assist the advisor in running student council meetings (bring the meetings to order and dismisses them).
- Votes when there is a tie.
- Makes announcements over the intercom when needed.
- Conducts him/herself with academic integrity and exemplary conduct.
Secretary
- Keeps accurate minute of meetings.
- Handles council correspondence.
- Reports minutes from previous meetings.
- Takes role at meetings.
- Conducts him/herself with academic integrity and exemplary conduct.
Treasurer
- Handles funds.
- Keeps accurate record on income and expenses.
- Reports at meetings on money matters when needed.
- Conducts him/herself with academic integrity and exemplary conduct.
Class Representatives
- Attend student council meetings and report back to classrooms.
- Report class feedback to the council.
- Conducts him/herself with academic integrity and exemplary conduct.
Advisor
- Oversees student council meetings and activities.
- Instructs students on holding elections.
- Helps student council establish goals, plan a calendar, and form service projects.
