  • Kristin Cannon Welcome to Ernest Horn Elementary! Horn is located in University Heights on the west side of Iowa City. This year’s enrollment is approximately 500 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Horn has a diverse community, with students from 30 different countries speaking 28 languages.

  • ICCSD Online Open Enrollment

    The District shared the health and safety guidelines for the 2021-22 school year. With this release, an additional open enrollment period for the ICCSD Online program will take place August 4 through August 9, 2021. To enroll, please contact the building secretary at your student’s assigned school.

  • 2021-22 School Year Health and Safety Guidance

    The Iowa City Community School District is committed to the health and safety of our students and staff. For the 2021-2022 school year, we have developed enhanced health and safety guidelines that will be implemented to help protect students, staff, families, and our entire school community.

  • Registration Information for the 2021-22 School Year

    Registration is now open for the 2021-2022 school year. As a reminder, all families are required to register their students in Infinite Campus through the process known as Online Registration (OLR).

  • Summer Meal Program

    We are excited to announce that our Grab & Go Meal Program will continue through the summer. The summer program will run from June 21 through August 6, 2021. Meals will be served from noon -1:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with the exception of July 1, 2, and 5. Below is the list of summer Grab & Go Meal locations:
