Digital Resources

Many digital resources are provided to students and staff.  Login name and password may be required. See your school librarian for login information. Please note that individual schools may subscribe to other databases and digital resources.

Advanced Placement Source has articles and resources useful to students and teachers of AP classes.  Grades 9-12

AEA Digital Library is a new, growing collection of digital curriculum resources, including videos, still images, and digital documents.  

AP Images is a database of Associated Press photos from the 1840s up to minutes ago! Search for photos, articles, audio clips, charts, graphs, tables and maps from the AP archives.

BookFlix is a literacy resource which pairs videos of classic storybooks with related non-fiction. There are author profiles, activities, and links. PreK-Grade 3

Britannica Digital Learning is a suite of online research tools including the well-known encyclopedia presented for elementary, middle/junior high, and high school students.

CultureGrams is a searchable database with cultural information. The World Edition (JH and up) covers over 200 countries. There is also a Kids Edition and editions for the States (US) and Provinces (Canada).

CyberSmarts: Staying Safe Online offers a collection of eBooks from Rosen relating to online practices for children: playing online games, avoiding online predators, privacy, cyberbullying and social networks. Grades 3-6

Digital Literacy provides information on 21st century knowledge and skills relating to the digital world. Grades 7-12

EBSCOhost offers a collection of databases providing full-text articles from hundreds of magazines and newspapers, and selected reference tools. Includes databases for K-12 students. For educators, the Professional Development Collection/ERIC database is available, as are the Wilson Core Collection databases.

FollettShelf K-12 is a virtual bookshelf of eBooks for students. 

FollettShelf Professional is a virtual bookshelf of eBooks for professional educators.

FreedomFlix provides digital resources on social studies-related topic. Grades 4-12

Gale Cengage Learning is a suite of databases providing access to full-text articles from magazines, newspapers, and reference tools. 

iClipart is a searchable database of royalty-free clip art, photos, web graphics, illustrations, fonts, sounds, animations, and videos. 

Learn360 is a multimedia database with other online resources and tools for students and educators. 

MackinVIA provides access to ebooks and audiobooks.

netTrekker is an educational search engine that connects students and educators to educator-selected web resources. 

NoveList Plus is a readers' advisory tool providing information about fiction and non-fiction for PreK through adult.

PebbleGo provides foundational skills for early readers and researchers. Four databases are available: Animals, Science, Biography and Social Studies. 

ScienceFlix provides digital resources covering many science areas. Includes resources for teachers. Grades 4-12

SIRS Issues Researcher is a general periodical database for high school students containing thousands of full-text articles covering various social, scientific, health, historic, business, economic, political, and global issues. Grades 9-12

Soundzabound is a database of royalty-free music. Download and use copyright-safe music files in MP3 format from this website. 

Student News Net provides access to news stories and educational features. 

TeachingBooks.net includes original movies and multimedia interviews of authors, book guides, book readings, thematic booklists, book awards, and valuable links.

Teen Health & Wellness is for junior high and high school students, providing information on health-related topics and issues. Grades 7-12

TrueFlix contains the Scholastic True Book content, including videos, audio, images and text. Grades 3-5
