Transition Services Center

The ICCSD Transition Services Center provides community-based education for students with Individualized Education Plans (IEP), aged 18 to 21, who have completed four years of high school and continue to qualify for IEP services and supports aligned to unmet needs in the areas of living, learning, and/or working. TSC seeks the outcomes of increasing students' independence in the home, at work, and in the community.Students learn in a hands-on way at the Transition Services Center. They participate in activities in areas of content that includes but are not limited to domestic and functional academics, community and mobility, vocational and recreation/leisure, social and communication skills. These skills are embedded into each of these areas and practiced daily in authentic/natural settings. Students also have the opportunity to explore community resources that will provide them with long-term support in their lives beyond high school.
