What do students do?

Students learn in a hands-on way at TSC. They participate in activities based in four skill areas; Domestic, Community, Vocational, and Recreation/Leisure. Activities are planned with meaningful routines that can be included in the daily lives of students.

Functional Academics, social and communication skills are embedded into each of the four areas. These skills are more easily generalized when practiced during daily activities.

Students spend half or more of each day in the community at the transition level. A variety of environments in the community are used for instruction and practice of domestic, vocational and recreation/leisure skills. Mobility is a big part of every community experience with daily practice on street-crossing and using public transportation.
