Irving B. Weber Elementary School opened in the fall of 1994 and is located at 3850 Rohret Road in Iowa City. Weber's students and staff combine to make a culturally diverse learning community.  

The building houses four wings around the central hub of the media center.   Classrooms are sizeable enough for large-group and small-group instruction in each room. A portion of the walls between classrooms is flexible so that instructional areas may be expanded; collaborative teaching and learning is encouraged. A separate multi-purpose (community) room with its own entrance and independent locking system allows the facility to serve as a community center even when school is not in session.
