Passports is an educational and cultural enrichment program for third and fourth graders where students are "taken on a tour" of a foreign country or place. It is offered once or twice a month after school for one hour, from 3:45-4:45p.m. Students in third and fourth grade are invited to sign up about a week before the program is held. If more than 25 students sign up, a drawing is held. The students whose names are drawn are given a permission slip that needs to be signed and returned in order for them to attend.
Past programs have introduced children to various cultural traditions from many different countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America. Some of our programs have been about special places right here in the United States. We have been privileged to have many native speakers from various countries.
We are always looking for parents and community members who are able to "host a tour" to a place they've visited or lived. If you are interested, email firstname.lastname@example.org
