Thinking About High School Sports?

  • Liberty High School Baseball

Anyone interested in trying out for Liberty Baseball should contact Coach Cronk:

Our pre-season training starts with Winter Throwing for Pitchers and Catchers.

    Winter Throwing

We will have Winter Throwing workouts for Pitchers and Catchers on Monday and Thursday nights from 2/3 until 3/12.  8th-10th graders will come from 7:30-9:00 and 11th and 12th graders will be from 8:00-9:30.  Any players that are participating in a different throwing program should NOT participate.  Our goal is to prepare pitchers and catchers for the upcoming season, overuse is a big concern.

After Spring break we will continue throwing after school (weather permitting) on Tuesday's and Thursday's.

Our first practice day is May 4.

  • No athlete is allowed to participate in practice until we have BOTH a signed "Permission to Practice" form and a completed yearly physical on file in the office. See the Athletlics Forms link. The physical form is required to be completed by a physician within the past 12 months of any given season and must be signed by BOTH the physician and parent/guardian of the athlete. This is a District policy regarding athletic participation and will not be waived for anyone, for any reason. Participation will not begin until the signed form is on file in the NCJH main office.

    Please note:

    • Some sports will have morning practices due to our later start time and later dismissal. These AM practices will usually start between 7:00 and 7:15 AM, depending on the specific coaches. This information will be shared on a sport-by-sport basis if the morning practices are needed.
    • Swim teams will be bussed immediately following classes to the North Liberty Recreation Center for practice. At the end of each practice, athletes will NOT be bussed back to North Central and will need to be picked up at the Rec Center (MAP).
