City High National Honor Society
The City High National Honor Society was chartered and inducted its first members in the Spring of 1958. The primary purposes of the National Honor Society are to create and encourage enthusiasm for learning and recognize excellence in academics. The principles of honor, scholarship, service, leadership and character are the foundation of the National Honor Society.
Membership in the City High National Honor Society is determined at the end of the first trimester each year. Juniors and seniors who have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.500 or above, have or will completed three years of Language Arts, Math, Science and two years of World Language by the end of their junior year are eligible for membership consideration. The Faculty Council of the City High National Honor Society further considers service, leadership, character and citizenship in selecting students for membership and induction. Please contact Guidance Counselor, Linda Hoel, for additional information about National Honor Society.
