ELP at Mann with Mrs. Bradford

  • Mrs. Bradford Mann Families, Welcome to ELP!

This is a strange beginning to a school year; however, I am still eager to get started! After a difficult ending to last year and not being able to properly say goodbye to students and beginning this year without properly welcoming students back....it is difficult to begin with as much enthusiasm; but, we have some great ideas for online learning planned! I am so excited to see everyone, again, too!

This will be my 22nd year in education. I most recently served as the ELP teacher at Lincoln and Mann Elementary Schools in Iowa City. In previous years, I have served as a K, 3rd, 4th, 6th grade, and intervention teacher. In addition, I served as an elementary principal for 4 years. I, also, get the privilege of serving as Mann's Instructional Design Strategist (IDS) this year and working with all of the teachers! So, I am working in the building all day!

I am married and Brian and I have three children. Brian has a custom cabinet business in the Iowa City area. Our oldest child (23) lives in Omaha, NE. and works in the custom cabinet industry. Our daughter (21) attends the University of Iowa for bio-medical Engineering. Our youngest (16) is a junior at City High School. We love the Iowa City Community School District and Hawkeye country!

My goal is to provide a professional, safe, engaging, educational environment for your student to challenge him/herself, make & learn from mistakes, and thrive in!

    Attitude Is Everything...
At 211 degrees, water is hot.
    At 212 degrees, it boils.
And with boiling water, comes steam.
And with steam, you can power a train.
Just one degree more can make all the difference.

Where can you turn up the heat?
2 extra acts of kindness weekly plant 104 more seeds of generosity each year.
15 extra minutes a day creates over 90 hours each year for what's most important to you.
1 extra contact daily sparks 180 more personal connections every 6 months.
1 extra risk each week leads to 52 more opportunities every year for excitement and possibility.
It's your life. You are responsible for your results. Challenge yourself and others.

    Be Two-Twelve! Change our World!
