My name is Travis Voshell, I was born in Waterloo, Iowa, and graduated high school from Dike-New Hartford in 1997. I continued my education at UNI. and graduated in 2002 with a B.A. in Physical Education. After receiving my degree, I accepted an opportunity to teach high school health at Clark H.S. in San Antonio, Texas, where I coached football and baseball for three years. Deciding to move back to Iowa, I began working in special education in 2008 at Springville until 2010 where I coached football and track. In 2010 through 2013, I worked in special education at Expo Alternative and West High School in Waterloo. Today, I serve students at Theodore Roosevelt Education Center (TREC). I am currently in my fourth year as an Instructional Strategist (Behavior Focused).
After a lengthy layoff, I decided to go back to school in 2009 and work toward my M.A. from Morningside in Special Education (2013). I am currently enrolled at UNI in the Educational Leadership program.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my daughter, wife, and extended family. I enjoy boating, snowboarding, and watching my favorite sports teams: the Denver Broncos, Iowa Hawkeyes, and San Antonio Spurs.
