Welcome to 4th Grade!

  • Hello Fourth Grade

This year the 4th grade team is shaking things up yet again! Mr. Metz is welcoming Ms. Wheeler to the team and they will each have their own classroom for the entire day.  Please bear with our website as we transition away from departmentalizing.  We hope to have it up to date soon, where Mr. Metz and Ms. Wheeler will each have their own pages.

Contact the 4th grade teachers by email at:

Announcements

  • Math- We are working on adding and subtracting fractions in math.

Math Tests- Math tests are given at the end of each topic and after much review.  Before every math test students are given the chance to take 2 practice tests, one on paper and the other online.  After each test students are allowed to make corrections to earn back full points. Finally, if a student still needs another chance to show their understanding there is a Retest that is given after small group or individual reteaching.

Math Homework is given on Monday. Students are required to try the problems assigned to each night and bring the homework back each day to self-check in class.  Finally homework is turned in on Friday to have a final check with Miss Burk.  Please give the challenge side a try.
