Note: The attendance number is a message-only line. Please DO NOT leave emergency messages on this line.

Instructions for Using the Attendance Line

    • All-day absence: Please leave a message with your name and relationship to the student, the student’s name, and the reason for the absence: illness, appointment, vacation, and so on. We ask that the attendance office be informed prior to the absence if possible. You have 48 hours to call in any absence.
    • Late arrival: Please call before 9 AM. Leave a message with your name and relationship to the student, the student’s name, and approximate time of arrival.
    • Leaving during the school day: Please call a minimum of 2 hours before the student needs to be dismissed. Leave a message with your name and relationship to the student, the student’s name, the time of dismissal, and notice of whether the student will return before the end of the school day. This should be for scheduled appointments or events. Students who become ill during the school day should go through the health office before being dismissed

Reminder: The District allows for five full-day excused absences per school year. Medical appointments with proper documentation (school excuse) will not count against these five days.

Students are responsible for communicating with their teachers if they will not be in class (i.e., music lesson, meeting with a counselor, in the health office, etc.). Failure to bring an acceptable pass in a timely manner will result in an unexcused absence.
