• Attendance Area Development

During the spring and summer of 2014, the Iowa City Community School District conducted a community engagement process to gain input related to school attendance areas. Attendance Area Development is a multi-year process, and 2014 marked the first stage. The outcome of the 2014 process was the development of new attendance zones for elementary schools in the District's southern tier: Hills, Twain, Wood, Alexander, and Weber. The new boundaries will take effect in the fall of 2015. A map of the new attendance area can be found here.

The attendance areas for other portions of the District will be reviewed during the coming years.  Please check this site for the latest information regarding the Attendance Area Development process. Thank you.
