Students as Leaders
-
There are many opportunities for student leadership at Lincoln.
Lincoln Health and Wellness Council
Intermediate and Upper students may serve as student representatives on the Health and Wellness Council. This council focuses on our Blue Zones School commitment to the health and well-being of our studentsLibrary Volunteers
Many hands make light work. Throughout the week, there is a crew of reliable, responsible, enthusiastic library helpers who help the library run smoothly. These helpers are fifth graders who help Kindergarteners check out books, reshelf books, prepare the computer lab for younger students, and tidy the space that is used by more than two hundred students each week. They are the terrific support for all of us at Lincoln.Flag Duty
Sixth Grade students are responsible for raising and lowering the flag each day.Kindergarten Helpers
Each year a group of Upper students volunteer to be Kindergarten helpers. Older students read to the Kindergarteners, offer an extra hand with zipping coats and getting ready for recess, and assist the Kindergarten teacher by getting the weekly mail ready to go home. This is a great chance for students to be role models to the Kindergarteners!Memory Book
Each year a Memory Book is assembled as a memento of the year's learning community. The front cover of the Memory Book is always drawn by a Lincoln sixth grade student.Newsletter
Students may volunteer to publish articles to be included in the Lincoln Roar newsletter. These articles help to inform students and parents about Lincoln news and special events.
