Employees will conduct themselves in a professional manner while on school grounds and at school/district related events and
activities. Part of professionalism is fulfilling those duties outlined in the employee’s contract, Board Policies, the applicable collective bargaining agreement and published school / district regulations and rules. Employees are required to attend scheduled meetings with Human Resources and/or District administrators as directed to discuss employment matters, professional expectations, or other work-related issues as part of their professional obligations.
The board strongly suggests and encourages employees to dress themselves, groom themselves and conduct themselves in a manner appropriate to the educational environment. Employees will dress in attire appropriate for their position. Clothing should be neat, clean, and in good taste. Discretion and common sense call for an avoidance of extremes which would interfere with or have an effect on the educational process.
Licensed employees of the school district, including administrators, will follow the code of ethics for their profession as established by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners. Employees that fail to abide by professional conduct standards could be subject to
discipline up to and including termination.
