History:

Extra Service Activities employees are individuals that hold a contract with the school district for a position listed in Appendix C of the Negotiated Agreement between the Iowa City Teacher Association and the Iowa City Community School District, have been
retained in a stipend coaching or activity sponsor role, or serve as a volunteer member of a co- or extracurricular activity staff. Unless specifically stated, this employment status is separate and distinct from any other employment status an individual has with the school
district.

It is the responsibility of the superintendent or designee to establish job specifications and job descriptions for Extra service Activities positions. Job descriptions may be approved by the board.

Extra Service Activities employees required to hold a license for their position must present evidence of their current license to Human Resources prior to payment of wages each year.
