ICCSD Seeking Applicants for Financial Oversight Committee

As part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening financial transparency, accountability, and public trust, the Iowa City Community School District Board of Education has established a Financial Oversight Committee and is now seeking community members to serve on it.

The committee will serve in an advisory role to the Board of Education by providing independent oversight and recommendations on financial reporting, budgeting, audits, internal controls, risk management, and the district's long-term financial sustainability. The committee will help promote transparency while supporting sound financial stewardship. All final decisions will continue to be made by the Board of Education.

We are seeking individuals with experience in areas such as accounting, auditing, finance, banking, business leadership, risk management, or law who are interested in contributing their expertise in service to our schools and community. Committee members will meet regularly throughout the year and complete the required Iowa open meetings and open records training.
