  • Message to Families

    Today, we have officially reached the unconventional end to this history-making school year. The circumstances over the last two and a half months were something we never could have predicted, and were certainly less than ideal; however, the incredible strength and resiliency of our community have become more apparent than ever. For this, we could not be more proud.

  • Grab & Go Meal Program Summer Schedule

    We have a few updates to share regarding our Grab & Go meal service program. Since the beginning of our school closures in March, we have served over 250,000 free meals to local children and we are excited to announce that we will be able to continue providing meals to students beyond the end of the school year.

  • High School Baseball and Softball Update

    As we have shared with you, following the recent proclamation by Governor Reynolds, Iowa City Community School District high schools (City High School, Liberty High School, and West High School) will participate in the baseball and softball seasons this summer. We are able to start practices on June 1, 2020, and the first games are slated for June 15, 2020. The Mississippi Valley Conference (MVC) has announced their game schedules for Sophomore and Varsity Baseball and Varsity Softball.

  • TestIowa Website is Now Available

    Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds recently announced the TestIowa initiative, designed to increase testing across the state and increase data collection and contact tracing related to COVID-19. As part of the initiative, all Iowa residents are encouraged to complete a short online assessment to assist in prioritizing testing.
