Students to Receive New AIM Library/ID Card

December 16, 2019

This year, students will receive a student ID card that will also serve as a fine-free, fee-free student library card called AIM (Access to Information and Materials). This card will give the child access to the three local public libraries: Iowa City Public Library, Coralville Public Library, and North Liberty Community Library. To this end, select student information will be shared with the public libraries through secure electronic means. The card will serve to supplement the library materials children receive from the school district, including access to digital books and online educational databases, and it will have a more limited scope than a traditional public library card.

Parents who do not wish for their child to receive the AIM card should contact Kristi Harper at harper.kristi@iowacityschools.org.
