Important Mental Health and Wellness Reminders
Dear Students, Families, and Staff,
We want to provide a reminder that your mental health matters. While there is much to celebrate within our school district family, we also recognize the challenges that many face throughout the year.
It is important to us that you are aware of the school-based support services that are available, as well as the local community resources that can provide support outside of the school setting. School Counselors, Student Family Advocates, and District staff are available for students in each school. In addition to our internal resources, at the bottom of this message is a list of local and national support services that are always accessible to you.
In addition, our District maintains and continuously updates a webpage dedicated to support resources that are available to our community. Don’t hesitate to visit www.IowaCitySchools.org/
We continue to evaluate our current approach to supporting students and staff while developing additional ways to engage parents and students in this conversation. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. Please remember that we are here for you and it is okay to ask for help.
