Home School Assistance Program (HSAP) Advisory Committee

The Home School Assistance Program Advisory Committee is a newly established committee of community members interested in providing direction for the Iowa City Community School District Home School Assistance Program (HSAP).  

The Home School Advisory Committee with provide recommendations to the Iowa City Administrative Team on Home School Assistance Programming.

Areas of focus:  Parameters to consider when determining location of HSAP and program offerings.   

Committee Members:

2 teachers
2 administrators
4 parents
2 community members
2 students (secondary)

Time commitment:  The team will meet approximately two hours a month for six months (July 2017-December 2017). Meeting times will be established based on committee members’ availability.  Team members may choose to participate in additional responsibilities between meetings and report back to the larger committee. 

Selection of committee members:  Community members interested in serving on the Home School Assistance Program Advisory Committee will need to complete an application by May 1st, 2017.  Please submit the application to Kate Callahan, Director of Student Services at the Educational Services Center.  1725 North Dodge Street, Iowa City, IA 52246.  Applicants will be reviewed by a central office team. 

All applicants will be notified if they are selected to serve by May 15, 2017.
