Student Meal Pick-Up Locations

The Iowa City Community School District has established drive-through or walk-up meal pick-up locations at a number of District sites while schools are closed.

Beginning Monday, March 23, 2020, the following schools will provide both lunch for the day and breakfast for the following day. Meals will be distributed between 11 am and 1 pm. Families are asked to stay in their car and wait for the meals to be brought to the vehicle and passed through the window. The District will provide a number of meals based on the number of children in the car ages 1-18.

Meal Pick-up School Sites:
City High School
Hills Elementary School
North Central Junior High School
Northwest Junior High School
Twain Elementary School
West High School
Wood Elementary School

In addition, the District will also have meal pick-up sites available in the following areas:

Breckenridge Mobile Home Park  (12:10 PM – 1:00 PM only)
Cole's Communities Mobile Home Park  (11:00 AM – 11:50 AM only)
Forest View Mobile Home Park  (12:10 PM – 1:00 PM only)
Hilltop Mobile Home Park  (11:00 AM – 11:50 AM only)
Lakeridge Mobile Home Park  (11:00 AM – 11:50 AM only)
Regency Mobile Home Park  (12:10 PM – 1:00 PM only)

This program will be solely for pick-up of meals and meals will not be consumed on-site. The District encourages families to continue to be proactive in reducing the risk of COVID-19 by not congregating at the school site once meals have been distributed. Meals are intended for immediate consumption and should be stored/refrigerated as needed. Additional resources for food assistance can be found through the United Way of Johnson County.
