Twain Elementary's Randy Nguyen
Twain Elementary School
"I first met Randy in 2004 when I started working at Mark Twain Elementary. Randy stood out from the beginning as an exceptional coworker and an outstanding individual. Over the five years that I worked at Twain, I saw first hand how Randy made a significant positive impact on the school, staff and students. Last school year, my daughter had the opportunity to attend Twain preschool and meet Randy for herself. I couldn’t have been more pleased to see he was still at Twain and still making a difference in the lives of those he comes in contact with. What a gift to have such a wonderful person serving Twain for so many years.
Randy is one of the most dedicated and hard-working people I have ever had the privilege to work with. He takes great pride in keeping a neat, orderly and well running school building. He knows the building inside and out and is always quick to take care of any problems. In fact, he almost has a sixth sense to anticipate needs and is there to help before even being asked. All of this translates into a positive and efficient learning environment where Twain’s excellent teachers and students are set up to do their best work.
In addition, Randy always displays a positive attitude and a deep kindness to all he comes in contact with. Randy is a kid magnet. He knows kids by name and demonstrates for students what it looks like to work hard, value people and property, and treat everyone with respect. He truly brings out the best in others. Students love working with Randy on special projects and are lucky to have his mentoring in the process.
Though he would never want to be in the spotlight or ask for recognition, Randy is one of those people that make this school and district outstanding. Working day in and day out over the long haul (mostly behind the scenes) to help keep things running smoothly and make a positive impact on students. Randy is an inspiration to others of service, humility, kindness and work ethic. A true gem and valuable part of the Twain staff."
